The Duke of Lancaster steamship beached at estuary of the River Dee, North Wales. In its heyday the Duke of Lancaster was a railway steamer passenger ship that operated in Europe from 1956 to 1979. It is now beached near Mostyn Docks, Flintshire on the river Dee, North Wales The plan is to transform the ship into the largest open air art gallery in the UK.

August 2012, the Latvian graffiti artist "Kiwie" was commissioned to spray-paint a design on the ship, Duke of Lancaster now beached in the Dee estuary, Flintshire, North Wales. The plan is to transform the ship into the largest open air art gallery in the UK. The first phase of the project saw European graffiti artists paint murals on the ship.
